Long weekend June of 2014, we ticked off another item on our travel bucketlist: driving down (part of) The Great Ocean Road, an Australian National Heritage listed road-touring route. We didn’t really have any plans apart from booking an AirBNB apartment overlooking Docklands. But at the last minute, decided to hire a car and do a mini road trip to The Twelve Apostles.
Clothes, footwear, gadgets…your sanity – that’s all a given when packing for short breaks or indefinite, soul searching trips.
One of the things I love about living in Australia is that you can jump in your car, drive a couple of hours (or less) and all of a sudden, you’ll find yourself surrounded by lush vineyards, the mountains, endless coastlines or paddocks.
Who doesn’t love wine on a school night?! I got Tweeted (@ailz01) about this event a few weeks back and I thought it would be an interesting event to go to – and a new experience at that.
